First Aid/CPR/AED Training and Courses

Every year thousands of people die or suffer from preventable health problems, risky behaviours and delayed assistance in emergency situations.

These are the typical injury situations covered in our trainings as well as silent but life threatening conditions faced by persons under certain work conditions.

First Aid at Work covers the arrangements employers must make to ensure employees who become ill or injure themselves at work receive immediate attention, including transferring with an ambulance in case of serious cases.

It doesn’t matter whether the illness or injury is caused by work, what is important is that lives can be saved and minor injuries prevented from becoming serious by the quick intervention of a trained first aider.

Manual Handling

Training is designed to provide participants with the knowledge to conduct all manual handling activities in a manner that will prevent injury.

Injuries caused by incorrect manual handling techniques are one of the most common health and safety issues and are the cause for a great deal of worker absence as they take time off to recover. This makes manual handling one of the most important concerns for a business to address in terms of its health and safety considerations.

Model Safety Care Concepts provides:

Model Safety Care Concepts Ergonomics, Back Safety and Manual Handling Training

Ergonomics

Ergonomics is the field of study that seeks to fit the job to the person, rather than the person to the job.  This is achieved through the evaluation and design of workplaces, environments, job tasks, equipment,  and processes in relationship to human capabilities and interactions in the workplace. Anytime there is

a change in the workplace (new employee, new chair, new desk), new ergonomic solutions are  required. It is important that effective use of ergonomic practices will assist in maintaining high levels of productivity, avoiding painful and costly employee injuries, and increasing worker satisfaction. By designing the job around the person, employees will have a decreased risk of injury and an improved perception of their "employee-centered" role at work.

This training explains how to set up your computer workstation, according to you needs, and how to avoid uncomfortable position.

Programme Conformity:

Please note that all our programmes and trainings conforms to the training standards set for ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 on the “total environmental safety management in the work place” as well as OHSAS – 18001 (OHS & E Act and Regulations, Statutory Requirements and Mandatory Standards), Ministry Of Health, and Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity, Factory Act 1990
